Markal Paintstiks are an oil based paint crayon made from pigment, oil and wax They are available in over 50 mat colours and 15 iridescent colours including gold, silver, and copper with colourless and iridescent blender sticks available. Markal Paintstiks can be used on a wide range of surfaces including metal, paper , wood, plaster and a wide variety of fabrics. Markal Paintstiks do not change the handle of fabrics and the mat colours work well on light fabrics in general and the iridescent colours with their reflective characteristics makes them work extremely well on dark fabrics. Markal Paintstiks come as a crayon which makes it easy to work with rubbings and straight onto fabric, also stencilling. The is very little waste and when not used Markal Paintstiks form a covering over the paint which avoids them drying out so they will last for years. Markal Paintstiks contain refined linseed oil which enables the colours onced used to dry within a few days or quicker if heat dried .
